NORFOLK, va. (WAVY) - Norfolk Police are investigating three stabbings that happened within an hour of each other early Sunday morning.
Around 12:40 a.m. police received a report of a stabbing in the 1300 block of East Ocean View Avenue as the result of a fight in the street, Karen Parker-Chesson with the Norfolk Police Department said.
The victim suffered a minor, non-life-threatening injury and a suspect was apprehended.
Two minutes later police received another report of a stabbing in the 300 block of Fort Worth Avenue Parker-Chesson told WAVY.com the stabbing was the result of a domestic incident and the victim suffered a minor injury.
A suspect was taken into custody but police have not released the charges the the suspect may be facing.
Then about an hour later, around 1:40 a.m., a third report of stabbing was received by police in the 500 block of Ruffner Avenue following a domestic incident.
The victim was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and a suspect was taken into custody.
Police do not believe the three incidents were related.
