Trick Daddy Called in to Miami's 99 jamz to address Lil Wayne F**k The Heat Comments Listen to interview below.
2 Live Crew's Uncle Luke may have had the jump on Young Money's Lil Wayne, predicting the rapper would likely apologize for last weekend's controversial comments toward the Miami Heat by appearing on a local radio station.
Luke made his prediction just hours before Weezy F. Baby called into Miami's 99 Jamz to clarify his comments.
"Don't be surprised this cat gets on local radio with a fake a** apology the same station that supports them and no local artist," Luke tweeted February 20th.
"Can someone move to Oakland buy a house then go to a game and say the Raiders ain't s*** and think they going to stay in Oakland ?"
"Good Morning Miami an the World did you here the interview last night tell me what you think.," he tweeted February 21st.
"I'm asking people how they feel about the interview before I say something because I knew how I felt about it." (Uncle Luke's Twitter)
While Wayne did apologize for dissing the Heat's LeBron James, he refused to take back comments shot directly at the local team.
"Yeah, I heard about that, that's what I want to clear up," Wayne said in an interview when told the entire city of Miami was upset with him. "First of all, I ain't have a cup. I can't drink anything. Actually, I had a little bit too much to 'think' that night. Yeah, [laughs], I had too many thoughts on my mind that night but let me start off saying I don't apologize for that night. I don't apologize for being who I am. That's who I am. This is who I am and yes I did say those things. The only thing I do want to take back from saying that night is I said, 'F LeBron,' I didn't mean to say that because me and LeBron are cool and I know his mom and we have a real good relationship. That's my homie, it just slipped out. Other than that, I don't take nothing back and like I said, I don't apologize for being me. This is who I am. Now do you want an explanation for where all that came from?" (99 Jamz)
Earlier in the week, Luke penned an open post blasting Wayne for calling out his city.
"He has no respect for the city because people in Miami's entertainment industry -- from local radio DJs to South Beach nightclub promoters to the Heat's front office -- spread their legs for him and every out-of-town celebrity who rolls through town. Lil Wayne treats Miami like his b*tch because people let him. When Weezy claimed he was thrown out of the Heat home game versus the Lakers, the franchise tried to downplay the incident, saying they only asked him to leave and he left on his own. That was a b*tch move." (Miami New Times)
Last weekend, Weezy torched the entire National Basketball Association and the Miami Heat over allegedly being banned from their events.
"Y'all love these n*ggas so I'm gonna let y'all know why [I don't like the Heat]. The Miami Heat told [the arenas] to ban me. So I say f*ck, I'm still going to come out here and party -- when I say 'F*ck,' y'all say 'NBA'. F*ck! When I say 'F*ck,' y'all say the Miami Heat. F*ck! ... I ain't 2Pac, I'm the new Pac. Holla at cha boy." (YouTube)
