CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - Two people were robbed then shot in the leg at a stop light in the Deep Creek section of Chesapeake late Saturday night.
Around 11:57 p.m. police say two people were in a vehicle that was stopped at a traffic light at the intersection of Camelot Boulevard and Deep Creek Boulevard, when two black males approached them and stole their jewelry.
Before the suspects left the scene, they shot both people in the car in the leg, according to a press release from Chesapeake Police.
The suspects fled in an unknown vehicle in an unknown direction, according to police.
Medics took both victims to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
